Oh, where do I start?
- Old style 777 with TV screens the size of iPods playing a rotating set of films, only 6 of which worked
- TV screens on our row of seats reset every ten minutes
- The remote control on my seat had a faulty connection, so I could only get it to work by twiddling the cable endlessly until it reconnected
- Food was frankly hideous: the afternoon sandwiches were a mile better than the main meal
- Crew were inattentive to the point of it being actually quite funny. At one point I had pressed the call bell and waited for about 15 minutes and no-one came. I could see them at the back in the galley chatting. I eventually turned it on and off four times in quick succession to get someone to come over. I don't normally use the bell but seatbelt signs were on for hours and we hadn't been offered any water.
I actually quite like the 02.15 flight - I only live 25 minutes from the airport so it's not too much of a struggle, and nothing beats being in work on Thursday and back home in Blighty for breakfast on a Friday.
