Hi KLFlyerRalph,

Generally, my experience is Garuda is slowly going the way of other airlines, making it more and more difficult to earn FF miles.

You asked:

BTW AMS-DXB-CGK is in 'V', does this class earn any mileage? If not on GFF, are there any other programs I could credit my miles to?

You can find out how many miles you'll earn in each class here: http://gff.garuda-indonesia.com/mileages

You do not earn any miles for the following classes: V/H/X/O/ Z/T/J

GFF doesn't have any airline partners, only some credit cards and hotels. When it joins Sky Team, that will presumably change.

When travelling home on DPS-CGK-DXB-AMS the DPS-CGK leg in M class. When looking at the GFF earning chart, it is next to Y so I assume (nearly) full fare. Is this correct and does it mean we can change flights/times without costs and also possibly upgrade to Executive?

Garuda used to publish a list of conditions for each class, but not any more. Now it just groups them into "Best Price", "Affordable" and "Flexible". For "Flexible", it says:

(Refund, Rebook, Reroute, small charges may apply.)
