Good. Now I won't need to advise you to persevere. However, I will add that The Statuesque Mrs RNE had a similar problem with—wait for it—AMEX, not Chase. She got the Premier Rewards Gold Card and was supposed to receive 50,000 points but got only 10,000. She was giving the same spiel you describe Chase given you. Fortunately, she had the promo information and AMEX relented. ^
