Any insights on these two questions

1. The case feet and handle are about .25" over TSA Carry-on Regulation, will this be a problem?

2. When the wheel assemble is attached it puts the cases over by a couple inches. The assemble quickly clips off and I plan on putting the wheel assembles in my personal item(the backpack in the photo). Will this be acceptable? When would I need to take off the wheel assemble, at security, or the Gate?

If I'm nuts with this whole thing, let me know. I can still ship them but, even shipping doesn't guarantee their safe arrival. Amazon had to ship me 4 of these case to get two that weren't damaged during shipping. So I'm hesitant to ship them, though I know dell ships thousands of PCs a day successfully so.....
