It's always a happy surprise to check the 'Trip Reports' section of FT and find something new by Seat 2A... keep 'em coming!

Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself in NZ and I hope the rain has paused at least occasionally. Enjoy the Heaphy Track - I did it in the opposite direction, and that last day's hike along the beach through the Nikau palms was a treat. I hear the Wangapeka track is a nice alternative route, and even less fequented by crowds.
