There does seem to be a sale on at the moment from the UK in WT+ so you could convert your AmEx points to BA Miles, buy a World Traveller Plus ticket for and upgrade to Club World one way for c. £760 plus 12,500 miles.

However, you won't be able to do anything much with your miles unless you book the flight directly with BA, so going through Lastminute.com won't help.....
