I just completed my one-night stay and I am NOT happy. Not happy enough that I wrote a negative review about my experience.
1) no free social hours - They want to charge 50% for the costs of items I want to order. This is just not right! Free social hours is a feature advertised by Hyatt as a Summerfield brand signature item.
2) horrible bath amenities - all I got was a tiny bottle of Patene shampoo with no conditioner, and a tiny bar of Jergen soap labeled for face. I was expecting the typical spread, so I didn't bring a lot of items with me on this trip, so needless to say, I had a bad hair day until I moved to a real Hyatt the next day.
3) OLD OLD OLD - the kitchen is old, the room is old, the bathtub/shower is dirty. Definitely not up to the Hyatt standard.
4) slow than dial up internet - couldn't even check work emails. I had to use my Blackberry to read emails in EDGE mode; I guess AT&T doesn't have strong 3G coverage in the area.
5) rude staff - not accommodating at all and no where as helpful as the typical Hyatt staff. I raised several issues about my stay and that they are not up to Hyatt standard and all I got was a nasty look by one of the gals at the front desk.
If you need a point or stay run, theyn it's probably OK if you can ignore these issues. Otherwise, stay away until they have a good one year of transition time.
Would you mind taking a moment to PM your reservation details to me? I'll be happy to address these issues. Thanks!
