I should add that Emirates has an agreement with Garuda so you can buy through tickets to Bali, Lombok etc via Jakarta. However, not sure if this is an online option or you have to book via T/A.

You were probably unlucky that your Lion Air (aka as 'the only airline I wouldn't put my family on') flight was co-incidentally delayed by x hours.
