I gave up after contacting a few DL executives via email, after many failed attempts to resolve the issue with lower-ranking DL employees. Even when I received phone calls in return to my emails, nobody was willing to solve the issue. They'll offer to make a note in your record confirming the status (note: they can run your FB number through AF/KL systems to see your status, but it doesn't transfer to DL's computers), which can save you some trouble with the bag fee waivers. Other than that, they're not too interested in assisting partner elites. I've been able to gain some leverage with my DL Platinum status when conversing on the phone, and even that gets me nowhere.

Most of the airport agents have been accommodating when I show my AS/FB cards, so hopefully you're able to use the benefits for Elite Plus without much issue. I typically call customer care if I am denied any benefits, and normally receive a $50 or 100 voucher.
