Booking Award Travel in Business/Club

What I'm trying to get: two Business/Club award seats from LAX-->ABZ (Aberdeen, Scotland) on 5/25/12 or 5/26/12. One way (the dates for my return are beyond the 355 day advance booking availability on BA.com; I will book those later when they become available). (I know -- the YQ is insane, but this is my situation, unfortunately.)

Problem: BA.com not showing much Business/Club seats availability for May 25, 2012 or May 26, 2012 for LAX-->ABZ. Only thing I'm getting is 2 seats available in Economy on 5/25/12. I would **REALLY** like to avoid flying in economy (or premium economy) for the primary LAX-->LHR leg of the trip (LHR-->ABZ is a short flight, so no problem sitting in economy).

Options: (1) Book the Economy seats now (at 25k BA miles each) because BA.com shows that there are only two left -- the rationale being it's better to get something with my BA miles (I'd rather not pay cash for my flights). Or (2) wait, and check back on BA.com everyday to see if new Business/Club seats have opened up for Award redemption. I spoke with a BA rep over the phone and she recommended this approach, saying that BA does not immediately release all Business/Club award seats at once or when they are first available 355 days out. Was the BA agent correct -- is it generally true that BA will release award seats in Business/Club on an ongoing basis? My research on FT and google supports that, but I have not found anything about how and on what schedule BA releases those seats. *However, what bothers me is that I found two Business/Clubs seats available on May 29, 2012; I'm worried that a few business/club seats for 5/25/12 and 5/26/12 were opened up initially but were snapped up in the past couple days.

Any input on this decision would be greatly appreciated. Thank you FT for everything!

(Related follow up: is there a method of seeing the actual seats available and choosing my seats on BA.com when booking award travel? I have not been able to find any way to do so -- I'd like to be able to sit next to my fiancee on the trip if at all possible.)
