Boarding everybody on red carpet
Hi all... never posted before here...
Just left LAX this morning, and it was a "all military, 1st, 1k, platinum, gold, premier exec, premier, etc, everybody board at the red carpet now" (gate attendant was reading a script, I watched)
Didn't like it, messy, rude bunches of people in the line. Each thinking they're more deserving than the next, (but UA just stripped you of your special-ness!)
The last few flights I flew last month on CO I didn't like the gates, boarding or staff that much either.
On two of the flights, I got rebooked for various reasons, and when they rebooked me, they rebooked me with no status (i'm Premier Exec), sat in back of the bus, no chance of upgrade, and when I saw 5 empty exit row seats and the boarding process finish, I called an attendant and explained I should have access to those seats. The gate attendtant told her no, and doors shut and in-flight staff told me no as well. I was kind of pissed.
This happened twice so far.
I'm considering leaving and trying AA program. I fly about 50K+ per year for work and having PE status has been a nice comfort, but it seems to be changing for the worst. Thats just in my eyes, I know YMMV.
