So far, 2011 has turned out to be much better than expected for tourism flows.

The place is packed with tourists again. Even the intra-valley rail line is packed -- mostly with locals -- such that getting a seat on an early Sunday morning train from Srinagar to Anatnag can be pretty much impossible.
