Here's the text of an email from Air Canada, indicating that E kits will be a few days later than the normal Jan-end:

Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts on the Elite
program benefits for 2002.

Addressing the issue of “no prior communication”, you may be aware that
Elite packages are usually released by end of January. This year, we
held back that delivery few days to ensure it would enclose the latest
benefits covered in the News Release of January 30, 2002, a copy of
which is attached. Any information related to Elites’ benefits prior to
that date was therefore unofficial nor final.

We know loyalty is a fine balance and we hope that you understand that
we’ve listened and will continue to listen to our best customers’
feedback.
