I am more of an "average" gambler (<1k/day).
I never responded to the initial post, because two things made me wonder :

(a) "only gambled about $5000 per day"

I have no idea what that means. Bankroll? Coin-in? Buy-in at craps? It's just so vague it makes me wonder....

(b) "To be honest, most of the time we actually left with more money than when we arrived or at least never lost that much."

I've been around long enough to realize when someone has rather 'selective' memory. They either don't gamble very often, or are just lucky all the time.

Word is, that comps are back for the 'decent' players at V/P. And, of course, they never went away for the big players. But, room comps for 'small players' --- that's gone for good.
