Oh, and sorry, the $50 bottle of liquor is useless . . . I don't drink.
unfortunately you don't understand, i wrote "and you can bee the biggest a$$hole" you're just looking for a reason to retaliate.

3544quebec, way to stretch what i'm saying to the fullest extent. did i ever say a host who doesn't receive a tip is starving? no. i said the ones who stand out are the ones who get taken care of. once i mentioned hosts would appreciate tips amicus talked about how it would be nice to hold a tip jar at his desk. both of you must've hit the same branch falling off the cheapo & exaggeration tree.

you know what? amicus, hedoman, quebec. you guys are right, and i'm wrong. i'm perfectly ok with what my wrongdoing results in.

oh btw, if you guys are ever invited to a wedding, you technically don't HAVE to give a gift, but it's generally nice to give a gift that covers the cost of your plate of food. these days, a full course dinner with cocktail hour and all night top shelf open bar at a well taken care of catering hall can run anywhere from 100-150 per person easily (if not more). don't be the family that showed up to my wedding with a $20 candle set.
