I'd like to know exactly how "knuckles" are defined, and what makes them particularly dangerous. Google images of brass knuckles all show a grip part that goes inside the hand, which I would think is what adds power to the punch (correct me if I'm wrong). The Shepard Fairey ring did not have an inside grip part, and I suspect it would be no more dangerous than someone with several big rings on three fingers, which would be allowed.
Just wait until someone in the TSA figures out that any decent chunky metal men's wristwatch can be used as a more effective impact tool than that silly piece of jewelry.
