The GA for this morning's IAD-LAX explained, "We've had ANOTHER change to the boarding process."

The call was for uniformed military + GS (no one boarded), then F, 1K, and Presidential Platinum (I assume she meant Platinum and PP should have been with GS?). Then the rest of elites through the red carpet, and then by zones on "the blue carpet" (e.g. the IAD terminal carpet).

We boarded about 5 minutes late (one of the crew hadn't boarded yet), but managed to push on time. GA even kept the door open for a few stragglers right up to T-10; everyone else was on board and seated within 10 minutes.

Still don't like the use of the red carpet for all elites, but things did go much more smoothly than a couple of weeks ago when we were still in the middle of the boarding-by-rows debacle.
