Had quite positive opinions of CO food...until yesterday on a STL-EWR F flight with lunch service. A beef "wrap" that was more like a burrito was fairly nasty, along with a "tomato bean" soup that missed the mark.

I think transcons are where they shine, relative to non-PS UA flights. Shorter-haul though, a very different story.
