I am sure I read on FT a few months ago, that the ticket has to be issued by BA, but also ticketed in your membership country.
It was a post from a UK member who was unable to MFU a DXB-LHR-DXB ticket - and finding out from another member that it was possible, but had to be booked over the phone and ticketed in UK in GBP, as the website automatically prices in AED and tickets in the origin country.
Not sure what effect this would have on the price of your DONEx though - since don't you have to pay the higher of the ticketing country price and the origin country price?
