If you are really wanting to fly First Class CX TransPac look at NYC-YYZ-HKG, you may be lucky and get a seat ex JFK but with only a 6 Seat First Class Cabin CX rarely give awards outside 2 weeks prior ex JFK to Partner Airlines.

Perhaps if looking for later in the year the new Cathay ORD service also has AAward seats in First on many dates.

To enjoy Cathay First Class you have to be very flexible on cities and dates.
