Gee , as an Australian I've sort of just managed to get my head around the concept that in the USA employers of waiters and the like pay their employees less than the minimum wage and that it is expected that I will tip such workers or they will starve to death. Now I have this new concept to come to terms with: regardless of the remuneration that an employee receives in the US I should not expect good service unless I personally supplement that remuneration. Amazing
Maybe I should stop doing my job well in the hope that this will provide incentive for my clients to provide me an incentive to do the job that I'm doing already.
