yes, traveling with illegal drugs or weapons and being caught on an airplane is worse then on the ground. you will probably be arrested by a federally appointed law enforcement officer and not the more likely local/state police if you were caught traveling on ground.

carrying illegal drugs on an airplane across state lines is a felony, and since your on an airplane carrying a ticket saying you went from one state to another makes it pretty easy to prove as opposed to being in a car.

now what they would actually do about a small amount of pot or the likelihood of them even finding it is a different story and i'd chalk that up to luck mostly...if you plan to do it just be quiet about it, not like all these people going on TV, thats just asking for trouble in my opinion
