when booking on the aa website you simply change the drop down box from aa to baec on the ff part of the booking.

iv never had a problem with aa sectors posting to my baec account.

as to how many tp's, simply enter the flights onto the miles/tp calculator using AA as the operating airline and then enter the route one sector at a time.
