I found in a recent redemption experience that Asia Miles taxes and surcharges were higher than AA.
I redeemed Asia Miles for coach seats from YYZ-AMS. The fees plus taxes came to about CAD330. AA charged me the same amount for redemption of business class seats. In both instances, I was using miles to fly on BA .
