I had a CO CO UA CO itinerary that I booked with CO using my MP#. After booking I changed the FFN to OP on the CO website. The UA website never recognized the change so my upgrades were processed as Platinum on CO and 1K on UA. Also the miles for the flight were deposited based on the metal (CO to OP and UA to MP). YMMV.
Thanks for the tip. I switched on continental.com from my onepass to my MP number. This morning it appeared in My Itineraries with Upgrade Pending on the UA segment. I then changed back to the onepass number in continental.com. Will wait and see if that screwed anything up.
