Personally, I don't really care what I am called as a foreign visitor. What is far more important is how I am treated.

If I am visiting the US without criminal intent and with no intention to engage in employment, then I expect to be treated with a modicum of respect from the entry point onwards.

There are far too many horror stories like this coming out of the US (and well publicised in the British press) - and this factor is the only reason why I have no intention of visiting the US again, unless I'm visiting a client and they are paying.
