The odds are the passengers on the ship were all fine, upstanding people but why play the odds?

Would you think a pregnant Irish woman always be okay or would you want to play the odds?

Sorry if I seem rude, but it is this type of attitude that is destroying our nation. Succumbing to fear and abandoning reason is not the way to operate as a society. Understanding the odds and acting appropriately is far more reasonable. Sighting one example in a world full of people doesn't not make you reasoning any more valid. People die every day in car crashes, and every once and a while a plane crashes. Truth is your odds of being injured or killed by a simple accident far exceed any threat of terrorism, foreign or domestic.
