Any way to get Plat discount on SM ticket for spouse if I am traveling on a paid tic?
Planning a long weekend in St. Thomas next month. Plan to buy my ticket and use miles for Mrs. I want the credit. Duh.

Anyway, to book her SM ticket it is 50K miles or 44K if I am on the same itinerary. I think I would have to go on SM too to get the 44K but that ruins my accumulation.

Anyway around this?
