Although my wife does not like traveling on different tickets for a journey (i.e. MAD-LHR on the DONE5, then a seperate ticket to JFK,, and EZE-MIA transit MIA-LGA) in case we miss a connection/snowstorm, with the cost vs. J or a circle fare, it certainly seems the economical way to go.

I'll keep working over the next month to refine, and then focus on the pricing/availability.
