I'm bumping this up since it would still be appreciated if BlassSJU could elaborate on his comment that IB were "tight with carry ons".

Like the OP I'm also using an AA award to fly IB out of FCO. Can anyone report if they use the body scanners?

Perhaps Twiggers could come back and report on his exerience?
