Some people are taking the offer of connecting via CLT for $150. Would need a good deal more than that before I walked away...
Not uncommon given heatwave and short runway. As to the VDB deal, I've watched US ratchet back its VDB offers radically. Never seen it fail, so I guess that's what the market is. To be fair, $150 to change planes in CLT isn't a bad deal.
