No "U" seats/inaccurate seat map?
I just booked an Alsaka flight for the end of July: GSO-ATL-SEA-GEG. It was more expensive than some of the other airlines, but I mainly did it because I had one of the complimentary upgrade certificates to use (even if it was just for the ATL-SEA and SEA-GEG legs). I checked the seat map before booking and it showed first as completely empty.
When I called to use the certificate, I was told that there were no U seats available. Is this a common occurence, or is the website's seat map broken? I understand that having empty seats showing doesn't mean there's a U seat, but I figured if the entire section was available that there'd be one?
Any advice on how to proceed? I'm still in the 24-hour window for cancelling.
