We were comped the airport transfer due to a reservations snafu, but I believe it was in the $90 range. As I probably mentioned above, taxis are plentiful but a bit pricey. You can find rates in the St. Thomas This Week magazine (available online at
http://www.st-thomas.com/week/ - but make sure that you pick up a current copy when you arrive at the airport).
If I recall correctly, our room was 313. Our room was right at the top of the stairs, but was still quiet. It was in the second building, on the third floor. If you don't mind stairs, I would go for the third floor rooms, as the view is superior (and the rear entrances to the buildings are on the second floor, so you are only going up or down one level from there). This room was what the hotel calls a "Great Bay" room, as opposed to a "Garden View" room, which apparently are the rooms on the first floor. I mention this only because there was some confusion over this when I made my reservations.
I thought that the second building was ideally situated as far as view over the grounds and Great Bay and being relatively (but not too) close to the public areas (pool, lobby, restaurants, etc.). It seemed to me that the 4th and 5th buildings were getting a bit away from things and would require a bit of a walk (although the bellmen were quick to come pick you up in a golf cart, if requested). The view from those buildings also was not as desirable. To see a great review of the property, as well as a lot of photos, including an aerial view, go to
