Whilst I agree a bread plate would be nice to have on the tray in Club Europe and Club World I think that the investment could be better spent on an improved quality meal, with a proper salt and pepper pot or something.
It is a trend even in the most up market restaurants to NOT have a bread plate (not sure why). But I notice even at the Ivy (One of London's popular and most notoriously classy establishments) you also do not get a bread plate.
I think the way BA will look at improvements is the same as when they look at making cuts. It is what can we add for the least money that will be valued by the customer most. I think a bread plate is way down the list for me personally.
