all you guys need for this is to know the 4 digit promo number. Once you have that before activating card, speak with customer rep and ask them to check with Rewards department. Tell them you got offer in the mail but lost it and only wrote down the 4 digit promo.

Used this tactic 3 times for 2 personal gold cards at 75K and one business gold for another 75K.

My concern is .... every time I saw an app for the Platinum card I always saw an unwaived 400+ dollar fee.
