Agreed. I think the IDC/ICC cards are due for a refresh, because the value has eroded. Why would I use my IDC in Europe, and pay 3% foreign currency fee, when my USA-issued Platinum card no longer applies any fee? I probably would use the IDC for convenience if it were Chip & PIN enabled, but only if the fee is reduced to less than 2%. Evidently Chip & PIN is coming soon, but it should have been done earlier to establish the habit of using it.
