Agree—like calling a maid with a call bell (a la Cinderella). Seems condescending to me. FAs are there to provide service, yes, but at least in the USA, they're on an equal social footing with their passengers, so they deserve politeness and respect. OK, enough OMNI material for now.

Back on-topic, I can say that my hit-to-miss ratio of attentive-to-inattentive FAs is at least 90% on AS.

And then sometimes you get those magical stars that make you feel like royalty. I had one in late May on LAX-PDX, one in January to MCO, one in December to (and from!) KOA, another in December to MIA, and I even remember way back to one I had on DEN-PDX in May of 2008. (One person in particular will understand why I put the winky face there. )
