My screen on aa.com (liviing in the US and currently in the US) doesn't give the date in all numbers. It says:
Miles with Expiration Deferred Through Dec 4, 2012
Well, in the overseas (non-US) format for dates, 02.12.2012 means Dec 2, 2012, not Feb 12, 2012. So this display could be completely correct if it shows as 02.12.2012, because iwth dots in there, it implies it's in the dd.mm.yyyy format; dashes or slashes are typically used in the US format, ie, mm-dd-yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy.
Same here with the postings of the "Miles Deferred." Mine spells out the month. OP, are you sure you didn't travel on June 2? or did any AA activity (dining, opinionplace survey, etc...) on June 2?
