Refundable transcon coach (IAD-LAX) on UA in the neighborhood of $1600-1700 per person. Translates to $6,400+ for the family just for airfare. That is a market which will disappear except for the wealthy. There will always be deals to be had, but those will be for the very flexible. Again, tough on working parents.
