Business class will always be 2+2. On non refurbished aircraft, the B and E seats will be left empty. On aircraft with convertible (squishy) seating, they should be left in the economy layout. However, on refurbished aircraft (with the ex-LH seats) the middle seat will be blocked with the fold down table and the centre armrests moved in to widen the available room in the A C D and F seats.
No - the middle seats were
in use, and available in use in online check-in. However the curtain was fixed, and business class service was being made to the whole business cabin
Thats why i'm questionning it -
B and E seats available to be occupied for seatins, and were seated in, in a segregated business cabin, with business class service
It seems bizarre that it was done, but im wondering whether it was an over-sold flight one off (planned in advance, as it was in online check-in), or an indication of new seating policy for short-haul business (LHR-TXL)
