Location: out my front door 60 min prior to IAH flight until they increased the check in time to 45 min
Programs: CO Platinum or UA 1K for so long, now almost 2MM

I did IAH-YYZ-PVG twice this year and I too was perplexed by having to pay for internet access in the AC lounge when it is free inside the terminal. Relative to IAH's CO lounge, the food/drink was better. Since I was traveling in J, there did not seem much point to stuffing food (drink) in my pockets (rubber-lined).
