When I called KF, I actually asked "what is the booking code for this flight," which they did not tell me, but that was the time they said definitively that I would be getting my 5440 miles.
Has anyone purchased a ticket recently that they are positive WON'T be getting miles? If so, I'm curious to know if the website shows "mileage accruable [number]" for you? I fear that status merely detects cabin and multiplies the trip distance out by that ignoring the various classes within Y, but OTOH both a standard SQ and a KF CS agent have told me it gets the miles, so maybe it is in fact true.
1. Mistake. You should not call KF but SQ Reservations !!

The should not just say ' don't know' or 'the information is secret', or whatever. You bought the ticket, they should tell you what booking class it is. It is not a state secret !! If the agent doesn't know - and since this is now based in INDIA, ask to speak to a Supervisor who would hopefully be better knowledgeable in reading reservation codes than the normal agents can!
Without knowing what the booking class is, and with the way the website is up and running these days, you won't have a leg to stand on if your miles don't post after the flight even if you show them the print out that you will earn miles. They'll just say - oh, sorry. Website error.

But once you know that say, you are booked in Q class .. then you will know for sure that you will NOT be getting the miles and the website is in error that says that you will earn the miles. Remember that its the booking class that matters. Not what the website says.
