I agree. The check-in deadline is 30 mins for all classes and two hours before departure is far too early. One hour should be more than enough.

LH check-in is in zone K which is a separate area from other check-in counters at the far end of T1 if coming from Heathrow Express or Underground. There is a separate lane/counter for dropping bags.

I don't expect the counters to be busy on a Saturday morning.
