Sir, in the context of A380 and B787m it should be obvious that I was talking about long haul market. What else could it be, when regional jets are bunf used for longer flights?
Boeing was spinning tales based on what it had planned/was able to deliver. There is no evidence that hub and spoke system is going to disappear. Yes I am talking about long haul. For most airlines, Point to point service for few premium/popular destinations, with the rest served with hub and spoke model is the future.
Boeing doesn't have a product to match A380 for the long haul. It's trying to convince he market to bend to its line. Future growth is in Asia, notably China and India, and Africa not Europe or North America, although both EU and NA will continue to be premium destinations. A380 has a role to play in those markets and there is no reason why North American airlines can't use it
successfully.
