For the record...JD Tennessee Honey is NOT a whiskey or a bourbon, it's a liqueur. Looking forward to trying it but my expectations (as a liquor enthusiast) are not terribly high.
When you come at it from that angle, I have to confess that I have enjoyed Drambuie from time to time. Perhaps, like Drambuie, the secret is to cut the sweetness by mixing the liqueur with some decent straight whiskey.
Of course, Drambuie has an herbal contribution. It's not just honey added to whiskey.
