Totally different deal than when our UPGRADED seats get affected by cancelled flight or downgraded cabins etc

And they'd bend over backwards if they changed guage on you etc.

I think they'll go the extra mile to sort things - IF they occur.

Re Q2 you certainly should get a re-protected seat in that instance.
