GIB: Starboard side when landing to the east; fantastic views of the Rock right around from the north with views of the runway, east side, south side and west side as the approach is made with a sharp right turn lining up with the runway with continuous views of the bay, port, town and rock itself and finally as the aircraft turns off onto the taxiway, the end of the runway and the mediterranean.

LIS: select Starboard most of the time and you'll enjoy great views of the Abril de 25 Bridge (looking rather like the Golden Gate bridge in SFO) and great views of the city rooftops as the aircraft comes in to land.

GOA: Starboard usually as the flightpath is right along the Ligurian coast and as the descent is made into the airport, great views of the city and suburbs extending up the valleys and hills.

VCE: Starboard, again, as the aircraft makes its approach you'll get fabulous views of the 'island' of Venice and the lagoon around it. Having said that, the Port side isn't too bad - less impressive, but interesting views of the river channels and boats heading to the water borne bus station.

EZE: Starboard as the routing can take you right over the city and the views are quite stunning. At least they were when I went there in January. Luckily had a completely cloudless arrival and I could clearly see the grid system laid out below and could even see the domestic airport runway too.

PVG: Starboard for views of the city skyline, port for arguably equally interesting views of the Yangtse river and delta with the islands and ships

LHR: I always try and secure a starboard seat when travelling from the east or north as the flightpath is over london and the best views of the capital's great landmarks are a joy to see. never get tired of seeing london from the air.

MAD: It can be a little bit more interesting to sit on the port side as the approach will be overhead madrid and left turn with continuous views of the skyline. Of course, it's nothing like new york or london but hey..
