In my experience, the 330 is a much nicer, and vastly quieter, ride than the 767. Boeing should focus on getting the 787 out the door and quit trying to flog outdated airframes. The 737, despite all the many upgrades and enhancements, is basically the same narrow body that the 727 and 707 were. Lovely aircraft all, but it's time for something new that can't be traced back to the paper, pencil, and draftsmen wearing white shirts and skinny ties days of the 1950s.
I agree. If Boeing wants to stay competitive, they need to get the 787 flying and start working on a replacement for the 737/757. As for the original topic, I believe the 787-10 won't compete with the A330. I think it will be used to complement/replace the 777-200ER. Speaking of the 777, Boeing REALLY needs to start working on a new generation of the 777 to stay competitive and ahead of Airbus.
