This question has been partially answered in other posts, but nothing in the last few years and I want to make sure its still true. I'm not referring to leaving a bag in the official HK airport storage, since that is extremely expensive.

Rather what I'm hoping to do is to leave my backpack and duffel carry on at one of the CX lounges (I'm traveling business) while I go venture into HK for the day. I have a 10 hour transit and would prefer not to lug around my bags. Especially because I plan to spend most of my day sweating in the humidity. I know they let passengers store bags while I'm in the lounge, but will they allow me to leave my bags there all day?

On a totally separate note, but hopefully nobody minds, does anybody know how "liberal" CX can be with baggage weight/number of pieces restrictions. I'm moving from India back to the US and so am obviously taking quite a lot of stuff with me. While I'm prepared to cringe and pay the extra baggage fee, it would be nice to know if they have a track record of showing any flexibility.
