Yeah, like FireBug said, you wouldn't have had that kind of authority. The last time something like that (that I'm aware of) happened, happened back in 2004 or so. The twelve or so screeners were reinstated and the supervisors and managers involved reprimanded for violating the screeners' right to due process.
They were summarily fired for running a theft ring, and were caught red-handed.
